Dr. S. Hemalatha has attended DBT Sponsored Short Term Training program on Genomics and Metabolomics of Wild Medicinal Plants at Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanical garden and Research Institute, Palode,Trivandrum between 16th November - 4th Dec 2015. From each state one person was selected to attend the workshop and total number of participants was 19 from all over India and Dr. S. Hemalatha was selected from Tamilnadu.

2.3.2 Shanawaz Khan Research scholar under the guidance of Dr. S. Hemalatha has been selected for the prestigious all India level workshop sponsored by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, under Niche Area of Excellence (NAE) program. on Physiological and molecular aspects of improving crop adaptation to drought which will be held at Department of Crop Physiology, University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore from 15th to 27th of February 2016.
In School of Life sciences, Ms. Zakia Fathima, M.Sc Biotechnology, class of 2016 has cleared the all India level exam and interview. She has been selected for DBT sponsored Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) with BCIL fellowship.
In School of Life Sciences Mr. Shahnawaz Khan has received 2016 NGBT Scholarship and Travel Award from SciGenome Research Foundation (SGRF) based on his research abstract to attend GRF conference 2016 on NextGen Genomics, Biology, Bioinformatics and Technologies (NGBT) conference to be held between 3-5 October, 2016,Cochin.
